Archena will host this Saturday, April 29, the National Championship of Martial Arts, organized by the International Association of Martial Arts 'Wamai'.
The presentation of the event was attended by the Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and the national presidents of Wamai, Ricardo Gress, and regional, Joaquín López.
This championship is expected to attend 300 participants from all over Spain and a visit of about 1,000 people to the town.
The opening of the tournament will consist of a personal defense exhibition, by the Local Police of Murcia.
The mayor said in the same presentation that "the celebration in Archena of this competition is a satisfaction for what it involves assistance of about 1,000 people, athletes, family and fans from all over Spain, then the movement in the municipality of tourists During those days will be an important event that will have repercussions in the hospitality industry and in commerce. The national president also commented that "this championship will have an echo nationally and internationally since the Wamai Association has delegations and interested representatives around the world.This is why in the social networks of this group will appear this tournament in a timely manner" .
The Mayor stressed that "the organization of this championship was also due to the archaeological club of Majúa Martial Arts, one of the most successful sporting groups in the world, and has already won 5 Spanish and 8 European championships ".
In this championship will be held combats of the disciplines of full contact and kick boxing, in two sessions of morning and afternoon, Saturday, April 29.
