The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Local Police of Archena, has developed an investigation to clarify the authorship of a false bomb threat in the municipality of Archena, which has resulted in the arrest of a person as alleged Author of a crime of public disorder.
The events occurred on January 23, when emergency telephone number 1-1-2 received the call of a person who warned of the placement of an explosive device in the premises of the town hall of Archena.
Immediately, units of the Civil Guard moved to the place, in order to verify the veracity of the communiqué and to preserve, in any case, the security of the workers who at that moment were in the municipal units.
Once in place, the agents comprehensively recognized the different dependencies of the city council, while they were evicted, civil servants and civilian personnel.
The call warning of the placement of the explosive device proved to be false.
Next, the corresponding investigation was initiated in order to locate the telephone booth from which the call was made, as well as to identify the person who had made the notice, which allowed to find out that the call was made from a public booth of the municipality.
The efforts made to clarify the facts have given a positive result with the arrest, last Thursday, the 16th, of the alleged perpetrator of the acts male, 65 years and neighbor of Archena who is attributed the alleged perpetration of crime of Public disorder, by false threat of bomb.
The detainee and the investigations have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Molina de Segura (Murcia).
