The Department of Public Safety and the Local Police Headquarters of Archena have launched a special campaign of preventive controls of Alcoholemia and Citizen Security.
The main objective is to avoid the use of vehicles, after the intake of alcohol or other substances, in order to prevent traffic accidents, as well as fights on the public road or damage to parked vehicles or urban furniture.
The places where the altercations occur are mainly located in the leisure areas of the population, and especially during the time periods in which the closures of these leisure facilities occur.
It is during this period that a greater increase of this problem has been detected, according to police sources.
The campaign, which is already being carried out and will continue for as long as is deemed necessary, contemplates the realization of random checks, in different zones and schedules, of a surprising nature, in order to achieve the proposed objective.
