More than 18,500 neighbors and about a hundred industries and businesses will benefit from the advantages of this clean and efficient energy source.

Redexis Gas, one of the leading companies dedicated to the development and operation of natural gas transmission and distribution pipelines in Spain, will invest about 3.5 million euros to bring natural gas to Archena.

The company plans to start deploying at the beginning of 2017 a distribution network of more than 10 kilometers in the municipality, as well as to build a satellite storage and regasification plant for liquefied natural gas, which will later be connected to the Lorquí-Archena distribution axis .

Thanks to these infrastructures, natural gas can be supplied to more than 18,500 inhabitants and about a hundred businesses in the town, including schools and municipal offices.

The mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, presented this morning at a press conference this project of integral gasification of the municipality, whose implementation is planned for after the summer.

The event was also attended by the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, Juan Hernández, and the delegate of Redexis Gas in the Region of Murcia, Pedro Santos.

The mayor of Archena said that "the arrival of natural gas will contribute to increase the well-being and quality of life of its citizens, who can enjoy economical and efficient energy with multiple advantages such as greater security, comfort, and greater savings in the invoice".

Pedro Santos, delegate of Redexis Gas in the Region of Murcia, stressed that it will boost the economic recovery of the municipality, because "local businesses, through access to cleaner energy, can increase their Efficiency with savings of between 30% and 40% on their bill, "he added.
