The ordinary municipal plenary session held last night in the Archena City Council unanimously approved the motion proposal in support of the irrigators of Archena, Lorquí and Molina, who are affected by the file of reimbursement of subsidies of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture .
In this irrigators 'proposal, the Community is urged to seek a political solution to the financial situation of the irrigators' inheritance of this ditch, following the embargoes on its current accounts.
The irrigators are covered by this proposal in the file of admission of subsidies granted by said Ministry.
The Irrigation Inheritance of the Acequia de Molina affects more than 4,000 families of farmers, a large number belong to Archena and La Algaida.
The mayor said after the plenary that "there is no doubt that farmers remain a fundamental pillar and essential for the municipality, both employment and economic development, is why it was essential and necessary to support this proposal of our farmers".
It was also approved in plenary yesterday, with votes in favor of the Popular Group, PSOE and CCD and the abstention of Ganar Archena, the Advance of the new General Municipal Plan of Ordination (PGMO).
It is a question of that, once the work of elaboration of this General Plan has already acquired the sufficient degree of development to allow a good advance with criteria, objectives and alternatives, the City will soon submit it to public information during a month for the Presentation of suggestions.
Patricia Fernández explained that "with the approval of this advance of the PGMO we have taken a great step to define the future model of Archena, as a modern municipality, of opportunities, innovative and of progress."
