The arch-brotherhood of the Holy Body of Christ Lord of the World and Holy Burial of Alcantarilla decided in its Governing Board to grant the next 'Corpus 2017' Prize to the Brotherhood of Corpus Christi and Virgen de la Salud de Archena.

This morning, in the Mayor of Archena, in the presence of the Mayors of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, the directive of the brotherhood of Alcantarilla has informed the directive of Archena this decision.

The Corpus Prize will be awarded at the Honor Dinner held every year, after the cloistered procession and the Holy Mass, which takes place in the Church of San Pedro de Alcantarilla, and takes place on Friday before Dolores.

This arch-cloister of Alcantarilla dates from century XII and refounded in 1944 and is the titular of the procession of the Good Friday, the one of Santo Burial, and parade with its Christ Yacente, work of the Murcia sculptor Jose Planes, of 1945. Brotherhood of the Corpus and Virgen de la Salud de Archena is the organizer of the procession and other religious acts in honor of the Patron of Archena, Corpus Christi, in the Patron Saint's Festivities.
