The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, assisted with the Councilors Mari Carmen Alcolea and Alicia Medina to the circuit of mobility and technology workshop adapted from ONCE, where they have also been present the Regional Delegate of this institution in Murcia, Juan Carlos Morejón , As well as technicians and specialists from ONCE.
It is an activity of the fourth day of the Health Days of Archena 2016, which are celebrated from last Sunday until the 20th of this month.
Throughout the day, students of the archeros schools who have contemplated and analyzed the technologies adapted to these disabled people have come to the premises of the Cultural Center, they have also personally experienced the material obstacles with which these people find themselves daily.
This event, organized by the Department of Health in collaboration with ONCE, aims to publicize the social work carried out by this institution, whose highest priority is labor integration for people with disabilities and global accessibility with the programs of Suppression of barriers and empowerment of the same, which is also aimed at accessibility to the information society as an element for active social development.
This mobility circuit also serves to publicize the lifestyle of blind and visually impaired people, who are the important collective of these workshops.
