The Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, and Sergeant of the Civil Guard in Murcia, Francisco Moreno, presided over the official Mass tribute to the Patroness of this security, the Virgen del Pilar, whose image also earned prominence in the Altar Mayor of the Church of San Juan Bautista in this town.
In this religious act have come all the members of the Civil Guard in Murcia, the head of the local police, José Velasco, and military retirees Archena and Councillors of the Municipal Government Team, Antonio Jose Palazón, Mari Carmen Alcolea, Angela Gomez and Alicia Medina.
The altar looked spectacular floral decorations and of course the flags 'air' of Spain, Murcia and Archena.
After the Mass, Sergeant Moreno made in his speech a journey through the history of this armed body and said that despite such turbulent times we live in today, the Civil Guard is always at the service of security and citizen protection.
For its part, the Mayor praised the daily work and throughout the history of the Civil Guard to safeguard peace and order.
The ceremony ended with the singing of the hymn of the Virgen del Pilar, patroness of the Civil Guard.
