The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo, has indicated this morning that "Archena has been chosen pilot municipality for the implementation of the Plan of Electronic Administration (e-government)" which also will be implemented in 28 municipalities under 20,000 inhabitants of the region, where the regional government will invest over 2.5 million euros.
Andrés Carrillo met in Archena with the Mayor, Patricia Fernandez, with members of his government team and representatives of the local administration, who conveyed the intention of the regional government to provide them with the necessary infrastructure to carry out administrative procedures so fully digital, "because there should be no digital divide with the citizens of smaller municipalities".
The Director expressed his intention that "this municipality is a pilot for the implementation of this Plan" that municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants may join voluntarily and the Community is committed to the implementation and the maintenance of platform and necessary software applications.
