Club archenero Canoeing 'Rafting Kayaking River Segura' after hearing the news that the section of the Segura river passing by Archena is already navigable, it has been this summer in place to organize and conduct, in short, activities of this canoe sport for all ages, this area of ​​the river.
The Water Board of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) reported recent days that the Report Review of Navigation Reservoirs and stretches of navigable river Segura Basin 2016 was included as a section of the Segura River suitable for navigate, the period from 100 meters downstream from the dam of Ojós up to 100 meters upstream from the dam, ie which runs along the town of Archena (between ETRS89 UTM coordinates: 649580; 4220880 and UTM ETRS89: 630,575; 4,219,725).
Anyway, for reasons of safety for swimmers, fishermen and small boats, as follows announcing the CHS, no navigation called jet skis is authorized.
It is also limited in the area of ​​the Segura River Basin engine power used to a maximum of 150 hp and speed of navigation of vessels to a maximum of 16 knots (30 km / h) is limited.
In the same vein, the CHS advises that, in any case, the evolution of levels in rivers and reservoirs in the practice of navigation or flotation thereof be conditional.
Finally, in the report of the CHS, it explained that the inclusion of sections and reservoirs in the general list of this organization does not imply the absence of any obstacles, having to adopt therefore the necessary precautions for the exercise of navigation.
