Archena City Council receives 51.124,65 € of the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities for the provision of services and programs to care for women victims of gender violence.
Users of Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) Archena, will benefit from an increase in the number of hours of service offered by the town center, by obtaining a grant more than 51,000 euros from the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities of the Region of Murcia.
This grant will be used to assist in the financing of staff costs arising from the provision of services and programs to care for women victims of gender violence.
In the same vein, the grant will provide greater extent, individual and group treatment battered women receiving counseling and necessary to integrate into society and overcome the consequences of abuse who have been victims of attention.
With the municipal budget for these actions, together with the amount of this grant, from now CAVI Local professionals will have 50 hours per year for activities of prevention and awareness in Archena.
CAVI Archena has, at present, a psychologist, a social worker and a lawyer to serve their users in the Center for Women Archena.
Last year made over 800 interventions, half of them psychological interventions, in addition to 40 group interventions for women and 30 more for teens, showing the important role that performs this service for specialized care Archena City Council.
