The Moors and Christians of Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Health Archena integrated into the UNDEF nacionalLas Moors and Christians of the Virgin of Health and Corpus Christi Archena have been recently, and officially integrated into the UNDEF, National Union of Organizations Festeras Moors and Christians of Spain.
This is the maximum associative body of this kind of celebrations in Spain and where almost a hundred towns and cities that do this kind of festive events are included.
To belong to the UNDEF, any of these parties must meet three prerequisites.
First your program contains acts that are clearly a show-party;
second, to be held around a patron or patroness of the city (employers religiosity) and acts containing cultural and historical elements (holding an embassy or Parliament of a local historical event) was also organized.
Archena has been celebrating this holiday for almost a decade in the renovation, since in the nineties of the last century already carried out the festivities.
In its current program festive parades and processions, offerings of flowers and other events dedicated to the Patrons of Archena and Embassy of the signing of the medieval Town Charter are organized.
The Moors and Christians Archena always held the week before the feast of Corpus Christi, within these festivity.
Starting with the 'start' or symbolic request to the Sanctuary of the Patroness of the official flag of the holidays, the Virgin of Health, which is offered after the battle, which occurs at the Embassy of the previous year and where mature Christians of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.
