The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fern ndez, visited the concerted center "El Ope" this morning to, together with the Director of the school, Antonia Ram rez, congratulate the students who have participated in the XIX Competition of drawing "My people, Europe", organized by the General Directorate of the European Union of the Ministry of Business, Industry and Spokesperson of the Region of Murcia.
The mayor highlighted the great work of the educational center: "I want to congratulate the El Ope school and all its students, always willing to participate in any type of initiative." Under the motto "My people, Europe" it is intended that the students of Early Childhood and Primary Education in the Murcia Region reflect their vision from everyday reality, of a united Europe, without borders and in peace.
The contest has featured more than a hundred drawings by El Ope, of which fifteen have been selected and go on to the regional phase.
"Now more than ever we need to be united and this type of activity reminds us that our people are part of a great community called Europe," Patricia Fern ndez declared in her speech.
