More than 3000 archeneros tasted the different tapas complying with all the security measures for COVID19.At the worst moment for the hospitality sector, this weekend, the Ruta de la Tapa 'Take away' event has turned out to be a ray of hope for this sector.
More than 4,000 tapas sold and 520 orders has been the great balance of this pioneering event at the national level organized in the municipality of Archena.
The mayor was satisfied at the closing of the event: "it has turned out to be a great initiative of the Archena city council and best executed by the hoteliers, with the collaboration of municipal technicians".The event took place this weekend at the Archenero Fairgrounds and 7 local establishments participated that, upon request by phone from any of the more than 20 different tapas that were offered, the user after traveling a small circuit by car, within the enclosure, he collected his requested cover.
"It was about organizing another project from the Archena City Council to help the hospitality sector so affected by the crisis generated by COVID19, and we have achieved between hoteliers and the City Council that this new modality has been a complete success," he declared this morning Mayor Patricia Fernández, after verifying "these very positive results."This route of the cover was sponsored by the regional firm 'Estrella de Levante', whom the First Municipal Authority thanked for "its willingness to help whenever it has been requested."Given such success, the possibility of repeating the event on successive weekends is not ruled out, maintaining the excellent organization but modifying the gastronomic offer.
