The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, had a videoconference with all the representatives of fathers and mothers and of the management teams, whom she thanked for their important work in this course so complicated by COVID. The Archena City Council, through the Department of Education, has signed a collaboration agreement with the 11 AMPAS (association of mothers and fathers of students) of the municipality, through which they will receive a total of 33,000 euros to help in the work support to educational centers. The AMPAS belong to the seven existing schools, the two institutes, the Colorines Municipal Infant School and the Municipal School of Music. The main purpose of this collaboration is to help defray expenses derived from the purchase of protection material and special assistance for the educational community, on the occasion of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the school environment.
Likewise, expenses on other materials or equipment destined to improve school operation in the face of the new situation generated by the COVID-19 coronavirus will be eligible. It has been the Mayor of Archena herself who has met with all the representatives of the parents and all the management teams of the educational centers and has signed the agreement.
At this meeting, the first municipal authority thanked all the AMPAS for the important role so that the course continues to run in the safest way possible and within a certain normality, which today is around 98%.
This was a commitment included in the ARCHENA COLE SEGURO PLAN. Normally, these aid before the current crisis generated by the pandemic, were destined to the corresponding school holidays, such as Christmas, end of year, Halloween, among others; purchase of material needs of the center, purchase of books for the library, cultural trips, and help to start up other after-school programs at each center.
Given the new measures imposed by the health authorities for the control and prevention of this pandemic, most likely the aforementioned acts cannot be carried out throughout this course.
