| The XIV edition of this Outdoor Painting Contest will have all the security measures, according to the anti-COVID-19 protocol | The contest, to which national and international artists are presented, will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
Archena will become an art gallery, where all registered artists will tour the municipality to capture on their canvases, natural environments, the places most emblematic of our town, archeneras customs, picturesque corners, where culture and art meet at street level. "Our intention is to bring the world of painting and art to the public at street level and provide an opportunity for professional painters, amateurs, students, to show their creativity and encourage the participation of the business community in cultural activities, as well as to encourage the sector commercial and hotelier ", affirms Patricia Fernández, Mayor of Archena. The City Council of Archena, through the Municipal Drawing and Painting Workshop and local sponsors have made this contest a consolidated activity, where culture meets in the form of painting, becoming an unavoidable event in the cultural scene and where More than 4,000 euros are awarded in prizes distributed in different modalities.
