| The mayor herself supervised all the security measures of the contingency plan established for the beginning of the course with more than 350 students | A new academic year is launched at the Archena Municipal School of Music, which has more than 353 students and a faculty of 15 teachers.
Patricia Fernández, Mayor of Archena, has visited the School to thank the teachers for their commitment at this beginning and to show them their support and encouragement for the entire course: "The School of Music is a cultural and educational emblem for the municipality and I am satisfied for the great effort we have made to start it up again, complying with all the security measures against COVID19, "the mayor assured. For their part, all the teachers of the School of Music have undergone the COVID19 detection test as a preventive measure, as indicated by Patricia Fernández: "this is one of the measures included in the" Archena Cole Seguro "plan, where we have already carried out more than 500 tests to different teachers from all the educational centers of the municipality.
Our intention is to offer an educational space as safe as possible ".One of the novelties that Patricia Fernández presented for this beginning of the course and which she considers essential, is the inclusion of telematic classes for those families who prefer to opt for a musical education from home: "the School is prepared to offer online classes to students who prefer to stay at home as a preventive measure against COVID19 and as a modality that can ensure musical education in a hypothetical confinement ".The director of the School, Antonio Campuzano, has designed the corresponding Contingency Plan to adapt the operation of the School to the reality imposed by COVID19.
Campuzano explained that new spaces have been adapted to gain space among the students and increase safety, protective screens have been installed for instrumental and singing classes and a staggered entry and exit system has also been designed.
