| It is the first Spa in the entire Spanish Levante to get the "Safe Tourism" seal endorsed by the Ministry of Health | The Archena Spa has obtained the "Safe Tourism" seal as a guarantee and certification mark for the implementation of the Health Risk Prevention System against COVID-19.
Patricia Fernández, Mayor of Archena, was proud of the news that the Spa was conveying to her: "Without a doubt, they deserve it.
It was the first Spa in Spain to reopen after the State of Alarm and this is a recognition of all the measures of security implemented in coordination with the Archena City Council.
My congratulations to all the human team that makes up the Archena Spa ".After this recognition at the national level, David Rull, Director of Operations of the Spa, declares that "it has been months of hard work but we have successfully passed the audit carried out by experts in the sector and in a few days, this badge will shine in our complex.
I also want to share this award with the Archena City Council, without their unconditional support during these difficult months for the tourism sector, none of this would have been possible ".The latest published data show the enormous damage that the virus has caused to the tourism sector at the national level, with a decrease of up to 60% in hotel reservations.
Fortunately, the Archena Spa has been able to 'save' the summer season by reaching an average occupancy of 64% in 4-star hotels, well above the regional and national average.
This is how David Rull explained it: "Our obsession is to offer a space with the maximum security guarantees against the virus.
In this sense, the measure launched by the mayor, Patrícia Fernández, to carry out a COVID19 test to all tourists has been a great success for the safety of our clients and an important claim to attract new tourists ".
