In the midst of the evolution of contagion outbreaks in some territories of Spain, more than 40 cultural, gastronomic, sports and leisure events have been held in the municipality with very notable success, not only because more than five thousand people have participated, but because it has been done in strict compliance with preventive and anti-virus security measures, without detecting any outbreak derived from the celebration of those acts. Since the recovery of the so-called "new normality", the mayor was aware that "we had to work so that our citizens and our companies could recover not only normality in the field of health, but also in the field of social relations and of economic activity, that's why we have worked hard in that direction.
" They have been held: 3 Concerts, 10 cultural-gastronomic routes, 4 summer schools and more than 20 swimming courses "The biggest challenge that the different governments have at the moment is to guarantee the maintenance of economic activity, combining it with the public health of our citizens.
There are outbreaks and there will be more in the coming months.
We cannot react exclusively with confinements and generalized closures of economic activity, which means the ruin of many businesses, families and workers who are going to go out of work.
Three extremely hard years await us.

The summer cannot be considered lost, so we must work to offer a cultural, sports, gastronomic and leisure agenda in our municipality, not only for our citizens that they deserve it, but as an additional strength of our tourist offer.
We are disinfecting streets every night, doing rapid anticovid tests for citizens, maintaining security controls in leisure venues from the hands of their owners, putting the strictest protocols security, and we have to congratulate ourselves because the result so far has been very satisfactory ",Patricia Fernández has declared. More than 20 events of this nature are planned for the month of August, and it is hoped to have the support, trust and participation of a very significant number of people who plan to participate in these Archena dates.
