With the inauguration of the gazebo on the road to the spa and the free public parking area, the problems of circulation and parking in the center of the municipality are solved. The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, accompanied by councilors of the Municipal Government Team and those responsible for the construction company, ConstuArchena, have visited the recent construction site of a roundabout at the intersection of Carril and Daniel Ayala avenues, with the highway of the spa. With these works, the ambitious urban development project in the surroundings of the old Miguel Medina school ends, which has consisted in the creation of a wide multipurpose esplanade open, in a controlled way, to the urban road, providing a large area of ??free public parking, with a total of 82 parking spaces, which can be used as a party venue for organizing large events, and the construction of a gazebo that reduces waiting times at the intersection, facilitates the flow of traffic and improves the conditions of road safety by reducing the speed of approach to it.
Likewise, the works have served to expand the pedestrian spaces with paving stones and improve accessibility in the area. Patricia Fernández has been satisfied with the great work done by the local company 'ConstuArchena', executor of these works, whose budget has amounted to € 375,100.00, contributed entirely by the municipal coffers. In its intervention, the First Municipal Authority has revealed that "with these works we improve circulation and security in the urban center of our town and we enable more than 2000 square meters of free public parking, modernizing the facilities in the area and making it more accessible and comfortable for pedestrians.
