| The mayor visits the Spa in the reopening of its facilities with all the security measures against COVID-19 | Patricia Fernández, Mayor of Archena, and the Councilor for Tourism of the Government Team, Mario Alcaraz, have visited the facilities of the Archena Spa, closed to the public since March 9, five days before the State of Alarm was decreed by of the Government of the Nation. The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, has been very excited with the reopening of the facilities of this emblematic thermal establishment with all the security measures: "one of the economic engines of the municipality and the main one in the tourism sector, not only from Archena but also from our Region and of great prestige at national and international level ". On the other hand, the director of operations of the Archena Spa, David Rull, has declared that "I want to thank Patricia, the mayor of Archena, for all the help she has given us since the first day we closed our facilities because of this pandemic as well as the bonuses from which we have been able to benefit ". During their visit to the facilities, both the Mayor and the Director of operations of the spa have supervised the security measures that the thermal establishment has had since its reopening to prevent contagion against the coronavirus.
At the end, the Mayor Patricia Fernández has stated that "both the spa and we are aware that tourism is a very important source of employment and generation of wealth for Archena, and for this reason we have opted to carry out joint actions that promote local tourist activity to boost our economy.
" The Archena Spa receives an average of 200,000 people a year, employs 260 full-time workers and in the busiest months reaches 300 workers, reaching an average turnover of 15 million euros a year.
