The Archena City Council will receive a total of 145,491 euros to cover the social needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This budget item comes from an extraordinary loan of 300,000,000 euros approved by the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain whose allocation for the Region of Murcia has been 9,284,806 euros.
This amount supposes a strong support to the local entities that will allow to cover the basic needs of immediate form for the most vulnerable population during the pandemic.
As explained in the Royal Decree Law and in the credit distribution agreement, these have been generated in order to guarantee and reinforce Basic Social Services Benefits to carry out urgent and extraordinary measures that are exclusively intended to against the extraordinary situations derived from the COVID-19.
These credits will go to offer direct financial support to families;
emergency aid for the purchase of food, medicine and payment of basic bills;
and home support measures for the most vulnerable, isolated and disabled people.
