Numerous daily controls on the displacement of the population and a total of 155 sanctions support the great police work
The municipality of Archena has become a 'bunker' in recent days.
The Local Police, together with the Army and other bodies and security forces, have coordinated numerous control and surveillance devices in the municipality.
According to the police chief, José Velasco, there have been 155 complaints filed against citizens for disobeying the order of confinement in the State of Alarma;
some of them repeat offenders.
The mayor of the municipality, Patricia Fernández, has praised the work of the police force and highlighted the good behavior of the archeneros during these days: "the people of Archena will always be indebted to the Local Police. And except for a small minority of irresponsible I am proud of the behavior of my citizens during this difficult stage for everyone. "
On the other hand, the mayor recalled the request that she sent directly to the Government Delegation on the collection of sanctions, since currently the beneficiary is the State: "I asked the Delegate of the Government of the Region to collect the City Council itself these sanctions in order to allocate them to numerous social causes that have recently arisen as a consequence of the effects of COVID-19 on our population.
