In the videoconference that has brought together the first authorities of the municipalities and the president of the Region, Patricia Fernández López has transferred two clear requests to send them to the Government of the nation: an extraordinary item to face the expenses derived from the crisis of COVID-19 and that the local police of the municipality be provided with the adequate material for their security against this pandemic.
The mayor of Archena joins, in this way, the request made by UNIJEPOL (National Union of Chiefs and Directors of Local Police) and transfers, through the president of the Community, to the Government of Spain;
competent in all matters during the State of Alarm: "I therefore request, as a matter of urgency and as soon as possible, that we equip our local police officers and the rest of the security forces with adequate protective material against COVID-19" .
Patricia Fernández concluded by recalling the importance and acknowledging the great work of the local police in this crisis: "they are on the front line of battle, they are a cornerstone to win it and we cannot afford to 'play' with their security."
