The Coronavirus crisis and the cancellation of many municipal services will cost the job to 86 temporary employees of the City Council, who from this Monday will join the unemployment lists by resolution of the mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández.

In said resolution, with number 680 of last Friday, March 20, the date on which it reached the employees, "on 23 March 2020, for reasons of force majeure, temporary labor relations of the employees of this City Council, affected by the closure of municipal activities and facilities, until the return to normal, once the crisis situation and the health alarm caused by the COVID-1 virus have been overcome. "

Given the uncertainty of the workers about the resumption of their contracts and their future continuity, given the delicate economic situation of the consistory that the Municipal Socialist Group has been denouncing for years, from the Archena PSOE we regret that this situation is reached with the dismissal massive number of employees and has been carried out in this way.

At the same time we want to show our support to the affected personnel and also to convey to them that the vulnerable situation in which they have been seen in collaboration with the unions will be studied.
