The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, has delivered this morning to the Chief of the Local Police, José Velasco, of a new police car.
This is a Peugeot Rifter Access Blue HDi 100. A police van adapted to the prevention and public safety and the new Canine Police Unit, which was launched a few weeks ago.
The vehicle has the latest technical means of communication, acoustics, and signaling and lighting for police control and surveillance.
In addition, the rear is also adapted to carry out these control and prevention actions and to transport the dog 'Odin' from the canine unit.
With this new police car there are already 6 (one of them camouflage) and 4 motorcycles with which the car park of the Local Police of Archena has.
The first local authority has also explained that before the end of the month another agent of this police force will be incorporated into the municipality.
