The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, and the Councilor for Tourism, Mario Alcaraz, have attended the inauguration this noon of the 11th edition of the Route of the Tapas of Archena, which has taken place in the bar 'They call me Murcia', and that will last until Sunday, December 1st. The Mayor was also accompanied by the mayor Fulgencio García, Maria José Guillén and Anselmo Campuzano.
Authorities and attendees tasted the cover that this establishment presents to the contest, called 'Destapa'.
Archeneros and visitors will be able to enjoy the different tapas offered by the 13 participating establishments, another 7 different ones that will participate with their cocktails and 1 more place that will do it with their dessert.
For better information, more than 4,000 guides have been prepared indicating the collaborating bars.
This eleventh edition is organized by the Department of Tourism and the Association of Hospitality of Archena and the Municipal Tourist Office.
The price of the cover will be 2.5 euros, where drinks will also be included.
The cocktails will be 4 euros and dessert with sweet wine will cost 2.5 euros.
The prizes may be chosen by people who get at least five stamps from the same participating establishments.
This year the first will consist of 250 euros and a Christmas basket, donated by the City Council;
the second, products of the company Enrique Rech and wines of Jumilla;
third and fourth, two Christmas baskets, offered by Hermanos Brando and Sparkling Martinez, respectively;
and the fifth prize will be the winner's weight in liters of beer, donated by Amstel and an electronic gift.
This year the participating establishments, a total of 21, will not have specific hours to offer their tapas and products.
