The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia and the Local Police of Archena have developed an operation to clarify the robbery with violence and intimidation committed in a bank branch of La Algaida-Archena, which has settled, a few days later, with the identification, location and detention of the alleged perpetrator, who has also been seized the knife, used to intimidate bank employees, and part of the stolen money.
The proceedings began a week ago, when the commission of a robbery with violence and intimidation was detected in a banking entity of the archenera district of La Algaida, so that members of the Prevention of Citizen Security of La Benemérita opened the corresponding operation to clarify the facts and stop its author.
The events took place early on the morning of Tuesday, November 19, when a young man accessed a bank, waited for his turn, and wielding a large knife intimidated the employees until he seized cash from the entity, after several minutes of tension, finally fleeing the place.
The Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Local Police of Archena, carried out a series of investigations in the place of the facts that allowed him to establish the main line of investigation on a young man, neighbor of the locality and with a broad criminal record, as a suspect in the robbery commission.
Agents of both bodies coordinated to perform the suspect's search device, given the possibility of returning to his home, finally being positive last Friday, November 22, when he accessed the parents' home, located in a building Archena
Before the intervention of the agents, the alleged robber fled through the courtyard of the house, climbed the inner courtyards of the building and entered another house, for which he forced the balcony door, in order to hide and avoid being arrested.
After contacting the inhabitant of this property, she agreed to have the agents inspect it, which allowed the suspect to be found hidden under one of the beds, at that moment making his arrest as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, break-in and damage.
The detainee was seized a small amount of money and, later, another amount of cash could be found that he had hidden under a chair, which meant the recovery of almost all of the money stolen from the bank.
During the proceedings, the agents have also seized the knife allegedly used in the robbery, which was a large kitchen knife.
Entry into prison of the arrested
The 26-year-old Spanish detainee, a resident of Archena and with a broad criminal record, the effects seized and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Molina de Segura (Murcia), who has decreed his entry into prison.
