The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Víctor Martínez, have inaugurated this morning the Children's Playground 'Europa', until a few months ago children's traffic, and that today becomes a general park Children's playground and leisure, which covers an area of ​​more than 2,400 square meters, the largest in the region.
The new park is closed, for the protection of children, with a fence of 2 meters high and 211 perimeter and has more than twenty elements of children's games, including docks, rockers, swings, boat games, houses and a space station.
For parents and guardians, 26 benches have been installed to rest.
The new children's area also has a dozen bins and a source of drinking water.
Some 500 children have attended this inauguration ceremony, despite the strong wind it was making, and practically all the councilors of the Municipal Government Team and other councilors of the Municipal Corporation.
The start-up of this playground has cost 235,000 euros and in the new areas where there are no children elements has been installed lawn, gardening and diverse trees.
Almost half of the budget has been financed by the FEDER Funds, through the LEADER program, the rest has been provided by the Archena City Council itself.
