The Federation of Teaching Workers Commissions (FECCOO) Region of Murcia denounces the inaction of the Ministry of Education to provide urgently to the College Micaela Sanz de Archena a nurse who can attend a three-year-old child with a tracheotomy, although the opinion of schooling says that the presence of said health professional in the educational center is necessary.
The Ministry of Education ignores the opinion of schooling that requires the incorporation of a specialist to change the tracheotomy filter on a regular basis, in order to avoid major health problems.
The father of the affected person, who has been forced to leave work to help his son in the school, feels disappointed by the attitude of the Diversity Attention Service of the Ministry of Education having not yet received a response after of requesting a meeting with managers of this department.
The union recalls that caring for a child with this problem deserves special attention because of the risk of life that could be caused, which makes it essential to have competent professionals.
Therefore, CCOO Enseñanza insists the Ministry of Education to send without delay a nurse to the Micaela Sanz de Archena School to solve a critical situation that is distorted the normal development of the center's tasks and placing the staff of the center in a delicate situation .
