The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, the Councilor for Culture, Anselmo Campuzano, and the drawing teacher and coordinator of the contest, Francisco Torrano, presented this morning the XIII edition of the National Painting Competition Inocencio Medina Vera, which will take place next Sunday, October 27 through streets and squares and emblematic places of Archena.
All have agreed on the importance of the awards, seven in total, ranging from the first to 1,500 euros and the 7th to charge 200 euros.
All those who wish may participate and a unique category of adults is established, starting at age 18.
The subject must be related to Archena and its municipal term (its people, its landscapes, its streets, its monuments. The technique to be used is free and the format will be at least 50x60 cms.
Registration will take place on the same day of the contest, from 9 to 11, at the Archena Cultural Center.
The jury will consist of various personalities related to the Fine Arts sector.
Since the month of October last year, a complete program of events is being held in the municipality on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the prestigious local painter Inocencio Medina Vera
