The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández López, along with the Councilor for Sports, Fulgencio García, have recently made a visit to the Summer Basketball and Tennis Schools that, like every year, have been taking place in Archena, due to the importance in the archenero sport they have the current basketball sports clubs, 'UBA Archena', and tennis, 'Club Oasis Archena'.
The Department of Sports collaborates with these clubs through the transfer of the use of municipal sports facilities and tennis courts, respectively, during these months of July and August and daily access to the municipal swimming pool of participating students.
The Mayor and the Councilor for Sports, accompanied by the mayor of the Government Team, Damián Pagán and María José Guillén, also took advantage of the visit to congratulate, personally, the monitors who are teaching these classes.
More than 100 students have enrolled in the Summer School of Basketball and about 150 students in tennis, which is a great success in participating in these summer schools.
