The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, and Councilors Mario Alcaraz, of the Presidency, and María José Guillén, of Education, have visited the facilities of the municipal swimming pool of Archena, to verify the proper functioning and the large number of participants in the courses Swimming organized from the City Hall.
As stated by the First Municipal Authority, in July the courses have been a resounding success, with about 800 students in groups ranging from babies to adults, and during the month of August they have exceeded 500 enrollments, numbers that return to highlight the good acceptance that municipal swimming courses have among the people of Archenera.
Patricia Fernández has stressed that "all enrolled people have accessed the swimming or aquagym courses they have requested."
To address the large number of users in swimming courses, this year the Department of Sports has hired a greater number of lifeguards-monitors.
The Mayor has also stated that they have increased the number of subscriptions issued for this municipal site, and that the opening of the pool every Tuesday, from 22 to 24 hours, continues to be widely accepted among bathers.
