The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and the Counselor of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, inaugurated this afternoon at the Plaza de Mayo de Archena the II Regional Fair of Handicrafts and Disability, which will be held until 19.00 today's hours.
The Disability centers of Ceutí, El Palmar, Torres de Cotillas, Torre Pacheco, Abarán, San Javier, Villanueva and, of course, those of Archena, Adivar, Llano del Barco, participate in it.
After making a visit both authorities, along with representatives of the CERMI (Spanish Committee of representatives with disabilities) and the Council and Councilors Mario Alcaraz, Mari Carmen Alcolea and Ángela Gómez, for each of the stands of the participating centers, have read a official manifesto with motive today, May 3, of the celebration in Spain of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities ..
In the reading, users of the archaeological center of Llano del Barco have also participated.
Throughout the day various workshops of accessories, textile decoration and craftwork will be developed with the users of all the centers.
The main objective of this fair is to facilitate meeting spaces and coexistence to all day centers and give visibility to the great artisanal and creative work that is done in them.
