A bathtub giving off smoke and a symbolic representation of the Tajo-Segura transfer, are the two main elements that will lead the float that Archena will bring in the next parade of the Burial of the Sardine in Murcia and that has been the last platform that has closed the parade that all the sardine groups have performed in Archena, yesterday afternoon, despite the heavy rain that fell incessantly from the first hours.
Mayor Patricia Fernández explained that the bathtub represents the Balneario de Archena and the irrigators to the Tajo-Segura transfer, as two important elements of Archena's daily life.
Charangas, batucadas, gifts of toys and whistles, hachoneros and the participation of all the sardiner groups in the purest sardine style filled with joy, festivity and music the main streets of Archena in a parade prior to the main ones that will take place throughout next week in Murcia.
The reason: Archena was chosen as the place where the famous sardine for Murcia will start to participate in the celebration of the Sardinian Burial.
Fact that will occur on Thursday at the City of Murcia when the first municipal councilor of Archena delivered to the Murcia mayor of said sardine to start these festivities.
The mayor herself and several councilors also actively participated in the parade yesterday.
Before, at noon, all the sardines celebrated a convivial meal at the Balneario de Archena.
The afternoon ended with a fireworks display in Plaza de Mayo.
