The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández López, has signed two collaboration agreements with the same local sports clubs: Unión Archena de Fútbol and Archena Basketball Union for the 2019-20 season. The main purpose is promotion and good practice sports of these local players.

Both clubs bring together a total of 500 young athletes.

The football team consists of 14 teams, from 4 to 18 years old, and was founded in 2012.

Its president is Justino Martínez Ferrández and his club has received a municipal subsidy of 4,500 euros.

For its part, the UBA consists of 10 federated teams and 4 sports schools in primary schools, with ages between 4 and 25 years.

Its president is José Antonio Ruiz Sánchez, it was founded in 2013 and has also received a grant of 4,500 euros.

The mayor was accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Fulgencio García.
