The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, along with several councilors of the Municipal Government Team, has attended the closing of the last Mixed Employment and Training Program in Archena, called 'Archena Verde'.
It involved a total of 18 students of which 11 are women and the rest men, all over 25 years, forming in the Certificate of Professionalism Installation and Maintenance of gardens and green areas.
This employment and training program has had a total subsidy from the SEF of € 281,760 and a municipal contribution of € 36,385.
It began its operation on March 28, 2018 and its completion will be tomorrow, March 27, 2019.
Throughout this year, in addition to the specific training of the certificate of professionalism taught by the monitor Fuensanta Hernández, and the specific complementary training of the program, all the students also participated in the training provided by the City Council, obtaining the card of Manipulator of phytosanitary products (qualified level) and the official card of prevention of Legionella.
The work program aimed at improving and adapting urban spaces and municipal green areas of Archena, in addition to increasing the employability of the unemployed in the town, thus decreasing the local unemployment rate.
The works and services performed served to revalue urban public spaces and public roads, water management, protection and maintenance of gardens and natural areas, thus achieving an improvement in the quality of life of users.
