The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, and the president of the Cruz de los Espejos Association, Julián Torrecillas, the main organizer, presented the poster announcing the upcoming events of the Archena Carnival.
The festivities are centered on the Pinata Sunday, which will be on March 10, and on Saturday, March 9, the celebration of the children's carnival.
The first of them, which will start at 4.30 pm, will run through the Antonete Gálvez avenue, Daniel Ayala and Primero de Mayo, to finish at the Municipal Summer Cinema, where the participating groups will play a final party.
18 troupes are scheduled parades that will group more than 700 people, including dancers, flag bearers, musicians, and carrocistas.
Five of the participating troupes are from Archena, the rest come from Murcia, Blanca, Águilas, Mula and Cieza, among other towns.
The day before this parade, Saturday, March 9, the youngest will perform in the halls of the Ramón Centenero Cultural Center, a carnival children's party
The first municipal councilor has highlighted the attractiveness of the Archena carnival, "since comparsas from many towns of the Region will come and parade here, as carnaval as Águilas and Murcia, to be celebrated here in Domingo de Piñata".
The Mayor was accompanied by the Councilmen of Celebrations, Mario Alcaraz, and Youth, Alicia Medina.
