The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, visited the municipality of Archena today and met with the mayor, Patricia Fernández, to review the state of the educational centers in the area and their needs.
Subsequently, the counselor visited the school José Alcolea Lacal and had lunch with the students in the school cafeteria of the center, launched this year 2018-2019.
The dining room has a capacity for 50 diners and each day dispenses an average of 30 services.
"From the regional government we continue to incorporate new school canteen services in schools to promote both the reconciliation of work and family life and nutrition education and healthy habits of students," said Martinez-Cachá.
Before the end of the course the Community will have launched 11 new school canteens that will serve more than 15,000 students.
Of them, 5,000 benefit for free.
