The Department of Social Policy of Archena has taken over the Home Food Program, according to an agreement signed by the mayor and the manager of the Casa de Comidas a Domicilio Ginesa.
The purpose is to improve the quality of life and the eating habits of people with limited autonomy and therefore unable to prepare food.
This agreement is conceived as a social benefit, integrated within the Home Help Service, and consists of the distribution, every day of the year, of the food at the home of the beneficiaries thereof.
It is a complementary service of this Department of support to families and cohabitation units, which due to circumstances of low mobility and dependence, can not travel to collect daily food and is provided at the user's home.
It is also intended to provide a healthy and balanced diet to all those who for other reasons can not cover it by other means.
These users will be served a first course, dessert and bread and is aimed at people over 65 years, who live alone or live with another dependent and also have dependency on the preparation of meals by motor or sensory disability or needs nutritionally difficult to guarantee without this service.
