The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, has presented, along with the Councilor for Sports, Fulgencio Garcia, the fourth edition of the Regional Duathlon Championship for teams "Villa de Archena", to be held on Saturday, January 19, at the sports center municipal of Archena.
They were accompanied by the representative of the Triathlon Federation, the President of the Archena Triathlon and the Sports technician of the UCAM and the highest Olympic medalist in Spain, David Cal,
During her presentation, the mayor highlighted the great boom that this duathlon test has taken by teams at a regional level, counting this year with more than 500 runners distributed in more than 80 participating teams, coming from several Autonomous Communities.
Also, the first municipal authority has expressed the important commitment that the Government Team has been making, for years, for sports, something that is reflected in the important sporting successes that our athletes and sports clubs are reaping at the only regional, but national and even international.
Finally, Patricia Fernandez has said "continue to collaborate with the Archena Triathlon Club in the organization of this test, to get it to have national reach", while thanking the UCAM, Balneario de Archena and other collaborating companies , for the important support they offer to this first test of the regional Duathlon calendar.
