Serious and less serious crimes fell by 7.63% in Archena in 2018 in the January-November period, as announced by the Secretary General of the Government Delegation, Francisco Jiménez, after the holding of the Local Extraordinary Security Board convened by the mayor of the town, Patricia Fernández.
Jiménez has highlighted the professionalism and great work done by the Civil Guard in a town in which, in the same period, the percentage of detainees and investigated increased by 41%.
"I want to highlight the commitment and responsibility of the Government Delegation, something I also expect from other administrations, to guarantee the security of the residents of Archena and its districts, to whom I send a message of tranquility, as the punctual surge of experienced crime in the month of December it obeys a series of crimes whose investigation is very advanced.
The annual figures we have are very positive and indicate that the total of criminal offenses fell by 3.31%, "said Jimenez.
The General Secretary of the Government Delegation has indicated that he understands the neighbors' concern, and for that reason he has insisted on appealing to the responsibility of the rest of the administrations and thus avoiding alarmist messages that do not respond neither to the reality of the municipality nor to the figures .
"Even so, and because we understand the neighbors' concern, we are going to request the reinforcement of the surveillance with the presence of several patrols of Usecico and Lince de Guardia Civil and adequately address the objective and subjective security of Archena's neighbors," he concluded.
