The Secretary General of Family and Equality of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Manuel Marcos Sánchez, and the Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, inaugurated this morning, at the Archena Museum, the photography exhibition called Cuida-T on equality and against gender violence, which this week is taking place in Archena, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to be held on November 25.
Both leaders have been accompanied by the Councilor for Women of Archena, Mari Carmen Alcolea, and have attended the students of Secondary School El Ope, who later received a talk on raising awareness of the importance of equality between women and men.
This exhibition, which consists of a score of expressive photographs of young girls, is organized by the General Directorate for Women and Equality and wants to reinvindicate, mainly, according to Sánchez Cervantes, the importance of prevention in terms of abuse and in this Young age is when there is more to raise awareness about the value of women and the importance for her of being the owner of her body.
The Mayor, for his part, thanked the help of this Ministry for the operation of the CAVI (Center for Specialized Care for Women Victims of Gender Violence) in Archena, as well as the organization of this exhibition.
He also stressed that this center is open 24 hours a day every day of the year for women who have suffered any type of violence, as well as for their children.
