About 200 people, mostly young, have attended this afternoon in the Garden of Villa Rias to the presentation of the Municipal Volunteer Plan that has organized the Youth Council of the City of Archena, under the slogan 'The privilege to help.
During the morning the young people visited the different stands of NGOs and local associations that were installed along the main square of the garden, such as ADIVAR (Association of People with Disabilities), Aecc Murcia, Arzheina Archena, La Algaida FS, Oje Archena and of course the Youth Council, Informajoven Archena, where they reported on the characteristics of their organizations and their needs in terms of helping collaborators to work with them in a disinterested manner.
The Mayor, Patricia Fernández López, and Councilman Mario Alcaraz Mármol have explained the functions and commitment of a volunteer, as well as the objectives of this act, which are, among others, to promote and strengthen the associative fabric, foster a culture of volunteering and train volunteering in various social issues and problems.
They have also talked about the activities in which future volunteers can collaborate, including sports, social, educational, environmental and cultural.
The event ended with an aperitif for all attendees and live music, a tribute to El Canto del Loco.
The Mayor and Councilman Alcaraz have also been accompanied by the other councilors of the Municipal Government Team.
