A total of 28 performances of 24 associations of Archena compose the programming of the Villa de Archena Theater for this season 2018/2019.
Almost all the archeneros groups will be able to stage their performances from next November 10 until July 6.
Concerts, musicals, theater, lectures, conferences, dance, magic, dance, festivities of Moors and Christians, weekly acts and charity galas.
50 activities make up the theatrical programming this season, which this morning has presented the Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and the Councilor for Culture, Mari Carmen Alcolea.
On the other hand, they have also made public in this same act, the program of the Centenary of the illustrious Archenero painter Inocencio Medina Vera, which this year marks the 100th anniversary of his death.
It consists of 50 activities that started with some exhibitions last days and will end on October 27 of the next year 2019.
The Mayor has ensured that for all the months during a year events related to the centenary of the painter have been programmed.
He also highlighted as the most important, the street murals that will be made in various places and emblematic buildings.
They will be called 'Miradas de Inocencio Medina Vera', exhibitions of paintings and original drawings of the painter, donated by the family, and to be exhibited in various municipal spaces.
In addition to a book-and a documentary of his life and work, the latter made by the film director, Primitivo Pérez.
Finally, there will also be school activities in schools and institutes.
Even the CEIP Miguel Medina will hold a CULTURAL WEEK dedicated to the painter.
