The municipality of Archena has achieved, so far this year, the best unemployment rate, 12.43 percent, of the last 11 years.

The number of unemployed in 2018 is 1103 compared to 1253 (14.56 percent) that were reached in 2017. Archena continues with fewer unemployed than the unemployment rate in Spain (15.8 percent), better rate that in the Region of Murcia (18.6 percent) and a percentage of -17.69 percent of biannual variation.

These are data offered by the Observatory of the SEF (Employment and Training Service).

"

The mayor defends her decisive support and that of her Government Team to local companies and all their projects, as another reason why the local economy grows and insists that "we have sold almost all of the land industrial of the 'La Capellanía' Polygon and we have already been forced to start the procedures for the extension of this polygon and this is also due to the continuous demand for industrial land in the municipality. "

"The good communications we have in the town and the support and commitment we have been making for a long time for tourism" (200,000 visits a year to the Spa, according to their own data), are another factor that the first local authority wants to highlight as the main reasons why the local economy has an increasing rhythm and "therefore the employment that is generated daily in our locality".
