The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and the Councilor of Sports, Fulgencio García, have received the young Archenero swimmer Enrique Pagán, to pay tribute to his recent sports success, giving him a grant and thus help with the costs of his trips to participate in the different tournaments.
The young athlete was proclaimed champion of Spain of 200 meters braza in the championships of Spain.
He also achieved extraordinary results in other tests, being runner-up in Spain in 100 meters braza, fifth in 100 meters freestyle and sixth in 200 meters styles, which shows the promising future of the Archena athlete.
The first municipal authority also took advantage of the young man's visit to wish him good luck in his upcoming sporting events and encourage him to achieve his dream of competing in Olympic games.
