The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and the Councilor for Sports, Fulgencio García, visited the facilities of the Archena municipal pool, to verify the proper functioning and the large number of participants in the swimming courses organized by the City Council.
According to the first municipal authority, in July the courses have been a resounding success, with 850 registered in groups ranging from babies to adults, and during the month of August it is expected that more than 600 will be registered for these courses.
With this, it has been achieved that all the people enrolled have agreed to the swimming or aquagym courses they requested.
In order to cope with the large number of users in swimming courses, this year the Department of Sports has hired a greater number of lifeguards-monitors.
The Mayor has also stated that the number of passes issued for this municipal area has increased, and that the opening of the pool every Tuesday, from 22 to 24 hours, continues to be very popular among bathers.
