The second of the events of the program of festivals of Moors and Christians of Corpus ended as planned this past weekend.
In the hermitage sanctuary of the Patron Saint of Archena, the Virgin of Health, Councilman of Celebrations and, in this occasion also, the crier of this edition of the celebration, Jaime García Legaz, president of AENA, returned the official flag of the Central Board to its president, Miguel Lloret, to start the 2018 festivities.
Before in parades, festive Moors and Christians, presided over by the Ambassadors, walked the path that starts from Plaza 1 de Mayo to the Balneario, where the hermitage sanctuary is located.
Once there, in parade with black and Christian marches, they agreed to the sanctuary to begin the symbolic act of the request of the flag, popularly known as the 'Arrancá'.
After the offering of flowers to the Patroness, the medieval staging of the request for the official flag took place.
On this occasion, the Brotherhood of Anderos of the Virgin of Health, in charge of guarding the Patron, made another tribute to the founder of the festival of Moors and Christians and also creator of this act, the writer and journalist, Tomás Guillén.
