The Aldermen of Public Works and Urban Conservation, José Pedro Martínez and Máximo Gomariz, respectively, this morning visited Rias Viscount Street, recently opened to traffic after a major refurbishment.
This street is one of the main streets of the historic town and continues to communicate the areas to the old market square and Spain, the last of the old powerhouse.
With the reopening of this road are now a dozen urban roads that have undergone major renovations and have been adapted all the same line of historical urban design.
Actually, it was renewing the network of drinking water and clean up and pave the whole street Rias Viscounts.
The work took two months and has cost over 127,000 euros, executed by the company Construcciones y Contratas 'Constregui, SL'.
According to Councilman Martinez, "works mainly consisted in the renewal of the drinking water network and their connections to ductile iron pipe 150 mm in diameter and 32 mm polyethylene, the total being renewed pipe 205 meters.
We have also carried out the renovation of the sewerage system with rigid PVC pipe of 315 mm in diameter and their rush to be the total change of 192 meters. "
Finally, the same councilor said, "has been carried out to pave the whole street with a concrete layer with its corresponding armed with 'mesh' and ending with precast concrete pavers in color bilayer similar to the adjoining streets also the old town.
